HRS supplied a 100% green hydrogen station in La Roche-sur-Yon (France) for refueling all types of fuel cell electric vehicle.
At the initiative of the Vendée Departmental Energy and Equipment Union (SYDEV), the body responsible for driving innovation and implementing actions to promote the energy transition in its region, HRS was appointed in June 2021 to design, integrate, install and commission an H2 station as part of a project led by ENGIE Solutions at the former Michelin industrial site, which has been repurposed as an innovation centre for renewable energies.
Located close to a busy main road in La-Roche-sur-Yon (85), this station is used to dispense three green energy sources: green hydrogen, green electricity and bioNGV.
Inaugurated in December 2021, HRS supplied a turnkey station to meet the regional authority's various needs in terms of heavy-duty and light mobility applications.
The HRS14 station is a dual-pressure station (350 - 700 bar) that dispenses green H2 to buses in the urban area, and can also be used to refuel light vehicles, waste collection trucks and construction machinery, making it ideal for various types of clients (individuals, professionals, regional authorities, etc.).
In December 2021, SYDEV embarked on a new joint project with the ENGIE Solutions/HRS consortium to supply and install a green hydrogen refueling station in Les Sables d’Olonne as part of the single ecosystem for 100% locally produced and dispensed green hydrogen for mobility.
In the early 2010s, we took the bold decision, along with our semi-public company, Vendée Énergie, to develop a green, local energy mix for decarbonised and more sustainable mobility. The commissioning of the multi-energy station in La Roche-sur-Yon is a major new practical step towards achieving our objectives. It also perfectly illustrates that, when committed players pull together in a coordinated effort, anything is possible.
