Background to the project

The construction of this hydrogen station contributes to Lorient Agglomeration's objective of reducing its greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector by 78% by gradually switching its fleet of diesel buses to GNvert buses and Hydrogen buses. HRS is supporting HyGO, the station operator, in developing a refueling solution for hydrogen buses.

The largest simultaneous bus refueling centre in France!

The first station of such a large size on French territory, this innovative solution entirely developed by HRS for HyGO, a company made up of ENGIE Solutions and SEM 56 énergies, will have 19 locations and will allow buses to be refueled simultaneously without the intervention of an operator in 4 hours.

The first stone of the bus depot was laid on May 9, 2023 by Fabrice Loher, President of Lorient Agglomeration, symbolizing the start of work for the construction of this distribution site.

This hydrogen refueling station will be the second in the Morbihan department, after the one in Vannes, already set up by HRS in 2022 on the Michelin site.

Solution provided by HRS

HRS has designed a solution consisting of two HRS14s to simultaneously refuel vehicles in fast charging and the 19 hydrogen buses, soon to be deployed by Lorient Agglomeration, in slow charging: a first in France!

The first station is already operational. The second, consisting of 19 distribution posts, will be installed in a second phase.
